I have been a professional photographer for 30 years and I still get excited by photography. One of the joys of freelancing is that I can undertake a variety of types of work and I love working with new subjects. I embraced the digital imaging revolution in 2002 and enjoy the creative and technical benefits that working digitally offers. Currently based in Danbury near Chelmsford, Essex and covering the South East.

working with models and makeup artists in the studio or on location

For Catalogues, brochures, websites exhibition panels etc.
Architectural Photography
for a variety of construction and home building companies.
Using Sinar (5×4) and Mamiya (67) cameras
PR photography
for internal newsletters, magazine and press release using Nikon and Hasselblad equipment. Clients include: British Airways, Philips, BBC, Southend Airport, ERM.
Industrial Location Photography for a wide range of uses at a diverse range of locations including Drax power station, Tilbury docks, Humber Bridge and Mobil Oil, Coryton.
Using Sinar (5×4) and Mamiya (67) cameras
2 yrs Manager/photographer Studio One specialist social and corporate portrait photography.
9 yrs Royal Air Force – Aerial/Ground Photographer
1st two years, black and white darkroom technician processing with film from 35mm up to 9 inch wide by 500ft long at, printing up to 40 inch x 40 inch prints,
Subsequent years, general photographer – Including PR for press releases, engineering and technical support and some medical photography. Using a mix of camera equipment including Nikon, Hasselblad and especially MPP monorail (5×4) camera allowing a wide range of camera movements.
Aerial photography – Using specialist cameras including the F95 and F96. In a wide range of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
Training – 10 months at the Joint School of Photography followed by City and Guilds 744 general photography – including photography for press releases, engineering and technical support and some medical, using a mix of camera equipment including Nikon, Hasselblad and especially MPP monorail (5×4) camera allowing a wide range of camera movements.
Aerial photography – using specialist cameras including the F95 and F96. In a wide range of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
Darkroom – B/W processing and printing, colour processing (C41) (E6).
